Brand Photography for Independent Businesses: Sustainable Summer Feast Shoot

Curated for 91 Editions and their online e-zine, this editorial explores seasonal food, styling, and storytelling through a summer-inspired shoot, highlighting brand photography for independent businesses.

Built around a plant-based summer feast using seasonal ingredients, the shoot focused on sustainable entertaining. The recipe included mini courgette galettes with fresh herbs, a dairy-free Gorgonzola-style cheese from a local Brighton deli, and simple seasonal sides.

A Sustainable Summer Feast Concept

The idea was to inspire a relaxed alfresco summer gathering, with a focus on shopping locally, foraging, and low-waste hosting. I worked with a mix of local independent makers, designers, and shops, bringing their pieces together into a relaxed, lived-in table setting.

A standout part of the shoot was the recycled plastic platters by sister duo Weez & Merl. Made from waste plastic, these pieces are transformed into functional art and used in hospitality spaces like restaurants and bars.

Photography for Independent Makers

Sitting between food, lifestyle, and product photography, this work is focused on helping small brands share their story visually through brand photography for independent businesses. From a single shoot like this, lots of content is created that can be used across websites, blogs, social media, and newsletters.

I work with independent businesses to create:

  • Brand photography and short-form video

  • Editorial lifestyle product shoots

  • In-situ storytelling for makers and designers

  • Content for websites, magazines, and campaigns
